sent in this report and photos of the Perth Show: 'We've just had an excellent show up here in Perth for the Perth & District Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Society. Loads of blooms - in fact we were running out of space on the benches'.

Dave Spencer Wins at New Forest

Cornish show Roy Knight from Lanreath, our Vice President of the Cornish Dahlia Society, won the most points in the show and took home the President’s Trophy. Terry Stephens from St Blazey won the Knight Trophy for best exhibit.  Pat Knight from Lanreath was the winner of the Bowl Class voted for by the public. She took home the Bruallen Nursery Cup cornish show

Surrey Show

Class D2: 50th Anniversary Class Winner Rod Ansbridge with a vase of Kiwi Gloria, which also won the New Zealand NDS Silver Medal for the Best Vase of Small Flowered Dahlias in the Show.
Surrey C&D 50th Anniversary Show held on Sunday 14th September at The Toyota HQ, Great Burgh, Epsom, Surrey.

Trelessick Show

The Cornish Dahlia Society once again held its Main Show at the National Trust Trelissick Gardens near Truro over the August bank holiday weekend.

This year saw over 270 vases of Dahlias entered ranging from pompoms to giants and bowl displays in a wonderful array of colours.

The show was visited by hundreds of people from the local area and those on holiday

One section of the show, a bowl of Dahlias, was judged by the public and during the three days, received nearly 500 votes with the overall winning entry by Pat Knight
Trelissick Show The prizes were awarded by Craig Hardman (Trelissick Visitor Services).

Society Chairman, David Jasper thanked the National Trust and staff at Trelissick for supporting them again this year and for all their help in putting on the show.  He also thanked the exhibitors, committee members and visitors for helping to make the show a success once again.
